Muslim Girl X Orly Collaboration
Orly Beauty and Muslim Girl team up to bring the first ever, limited-edition beauty collection catered specifically to women of Muslim faith. Why is this collaboration such a big deal?
“What is the meaning of the word halal?” Non-Muslims sometimes associate the word halal with food but to practicing Muslims, halal is an important part of their everyday lives. Halal means “permissible.” The act of wadu, a ritual abulution performed during prayer, states that water must touch every part of the body to cleanse and purify. So for some, wearing traditional nail polishes act as a barrier between skin and water.
Orly previously launched their breathable nail polishes in 2016. This latest collaboration combines breathable technology with 100% halal-certified ingredients to create #Halalpaint, a collection of six halal-certified nail polishes features trendy and stylish colors like Haram Bae, Wallah Bro Wipeout, Ig-noor the Haters, What the Fatima? and Perfect Amani-cure, named for the founder of Muslim Girl, Amani Al-Khatahtbeh. Thanks to the power of social media, cosmetic companies are expanding their product lines to be more inclusive of the face of beauty in 2017. And that face is YOU!
This exclusive collection launched June 5, 2017 and retails for $49. It is available for pre-order at www.halalpaint.com. To learn more about and to follow the Muslim Girl Army, visit www.muslimgirl.com.
